What I'm Wearing

dress: vintage
jacket: H&M
tights: American Apparel
boots: vintage
purse: vintage

Today I'm going to explore the town on my own for the first time. There's a Salvation Army and a Goodwill downtown that I'm going to check out as well as a couple of vintage clothing stores.

  6. Did you go to Zap and Co? I just bought a 60s mini dress there last week - more pricy than what I'd usually pay, but it was perfect. Also, I love Mommalicious Vintage. Her housewares are so cute.

  7. This outfit is so fabulous that I think I might emulate it with similar pieces.

  8. Sherbet Tone: Yes, I've checked out both of those places. Zap & Co. is a bit overwhelming but great and Mommalicious is really cute too. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to find good vintage here (I was so spoiled for it in LA) but so far I've been lucky.

  9. I've been reading your blog for a while now, and I love it. You seem to have a knack for finding the cutest vintage clothes!

However, I do have a question for you - how do you clean vintage shoes? Clothes at least you can throw in the wash or take for dry cleaning. But I just bought a really cute pair of vintage boots, and I'm afraid of getting some strange foot disease. What do you usually do?

  10. Jennifer: First of all - thanks! I'm glad you're enjoying the blog.

You can disinfect the inside of shoes with a can of spray Lysol. Just spray the insides and then let them dry out. That should do the trick.
