Something to Look Forward To

The adorable Audrey Tautou, best known as Amélie Poulain, is portraying Coco Chanel in a new biography. I'm can only hope that the movie is filled with lots of 1920's and 30's fashion to drool over. And speaking of fashion on film, when in the world is the new Grey Gardens movie coming out? Ah, ha! When I linked to the IMDB page I saw that it is coming in November. Yay for Little Edie!

  16. Yes indeed! I'm very excited about it. I work at a place called the All Movie Guide and I put dibs on reviewing this movie when it was first announced and they didn't even have a lead yet. Audrey is sure to be perfect.

  18. Thanks again for all of your comments. I couldn't agree more that this is perfect casting. Much better than when Jennifer Love Hewitt was cast to play Audrey Hepburn. Remember that?!

Cammila: What a cool job! You're definitely the right girl for that review.

Kat: OMG! Thank you so much for the link. It's so surreal sometimes to know that people all over the world are looking at this.

  19. Hey, so I was wondering if you could give me some advice. My boyfriend and I are thinking about starting an ebay vintage store, any advice for me? I'd love to do it since I love thrifting so much but I'm not sure how to get started and make it successful.

so, first of all. i love your blog.
with that said, i was reading some of your older blogs, especially the ones about the vegan shopper in you... i'm a vegan so i understand how distressing it is to fall in love with the structure of a shoe and then realize that you never want to touch it because its "genuine leather." sucks. but the cheese habit is really easy to kick, just think of it as cow pus.. that will get you off of it really quickly

Forget Drew Barrymore. Have you seen the original documentary? It may change your mind as mental illness makes Little Edie a sad figure, somewhat manipulated, who died a lonely old lady. She wore the sweater on her head to cover her baldness. Her mother died of a blow to the head when her chair overturned. Hmmm.......

  28. I think Audrey would be perfect. I remember reading once that Demi Moore was set to play Coco, a few years back, I really can not imagine this casting.
