Thing that made me happy this week:
- Okra. Lots of okra. Fried in an iron skillet, of course.
- Finding a piece of newspaper from the 1890's stuffed in the walls.
- Learning to use a mitre box and back saw.
- The premiere of Mad Men!
- Did I mention the okra?!

ReplyDeleteWe are restoring a worker's cottage on the Victorian goldfields (Australia). It is so exciting to find bits around the place. Wait till you start digging the garden. Little fragments of china and porcelain. Keep them in a pretty saucer.

ReplyDelete35 years of gardening in the South and I just this year discovered that I like okra. I've eaten it nearly every other day for weeks. Yum!
