Right now a pair of Swedish Hasbeens jodhpurs is on the top of my never-going-to-be-able-to-afford wishlist. They're running about $375 a pair (ouch!) on the UO site. But they're sooo lovely. All simple and utilitarian and stylish all at the same time. And the other boots are nothing to sniff at!
Come summer I'm sure I'll be just as smitten with their line of simple 70s inspired sandals. And their website is a charming as the shoes, doling out pieces of advise like "the shoes will last longer if you don't use them everyday, all of the time."
I really like the sandals!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, amazing!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love these, definitely on my wish list too
ReplyDeleteI love the yellow ones, I think they would really match this dress:

Oh my gosh, I KNOW! I have family in Sweden and sent them all a not-so-subtle email with my shoe size and said if they ever see a used pair or a sale to get me some!
ReplyDeleteEver since I saw the brown leather sandals, I've known they're my perfect summer sandal I've been wanting for years... and yet, still out of reach!
ReplyDeletethat is quite a price tag, but i bet they are REALLY well made!
ReplyDeletelast forever kind of shoes.

They're pretty great. The sandals can actually be obtained on amazon right now for about $75. I've been contemplating getting them while they're cheap and wearing them with socks.
ReplyDeleteOh the yellow one!
ReplyDeletewow these shoes are fantastic
ReplyDeleteI have a weakness or shoes! If I could I'd like to own them all!!!
ReplyDeleteFunny that you should post about these shoes! I have been admiring the black jodhpur pair ever since they were up on the UO site. You summed it up perfectly by saying, "on the top of my never-going-to-be-able-to-afford wishlist" - so true, so true - but I want them badly! Sigh.
ReplyDeleteThose sandals look lovely. However, I find wooden soled shoes most uncomfortable. And the staples on the sides look cheap.
ReplyDeletei know! sometimes i wish i had never heard of this brand because i will never afford a pair. they are so beautiful and versatile. oh i die.
ReplyDeleteThey do it so well, don't they?

I some how got lucky and found a pair of vintage swedish leather clogs with the wooden sole for $5 at a goodwill. I thought the concept of shoe wasn't being used too much.. but surprise! The new styles are quite nice and perfectly modern :-)
ReplyDeleteHow could a person NOT wear them every day, all of the time? They're so perfect.
ReplyDeleteI first read about Hasbeens sandals on Rhiannon's blog, but I didn't know they made such cute boots!
ReplyDeleteI've been dying over Swedish Hasbeens for a while now - ever since I saw their collaboration with local vintage store No. 6.
ReplyDeleteI wish they were a bit more affordable though!
Ooh, I've been wondering about these! My favorite online place to window shop and drool, Ped Shoes, just got these in. They are so cute! Are they comfortable? I'm dying for the Jodphur in green that Ped has.
