I feel like looking at these photos of the new Alexa Chung for Madewell collection are like playing a game of "I Spy". Let's see... I spy a little black dress with white collar! Blue jeans with polka dot cuffs! Lots of tights with clogs! I have to say I was really looking forward to seeing this collection and I'm not disappointed one bit. I see lots of things I'd like to get my hands on. Now I'm just curious to see how they're going to price the pieces. The nice thing about these vintage inspired lines is it's not too unreasonable to think that you could thrift some similar things if they're not in your price range. I'm already taking a mental inventory of what's in my closet to recreate some of these looks.
Definitely have to agree with you on that. It's why I love anything vintage. I'll follow you :)

Love love LOVE this collection. I want those high waisted jeans and that long skirt! And oh! The socks and clogs!
ReplyDeleteAs for pricing, I know for a fact that it will be ridiculous. I was in Madewell last week and a tiny mini-skirt was $80 freaking dollars!
I'm going thrifting to achieve this look for sure!

ReplyDeletei love this collection, although i am not surprised. those high waist denim shorts with the grey tights- love! but it's true- once you break it down, a lot of these looks could recreated easily with pieces in your own closet or thrift store. it's all about the styling:)

ReplyDeleteI've always tried not to get too besotted with Alexa (maybe it's a being English thing...not sure). Or I'm just hopelessly jealous of her legs and kitty eyes and perfect hair :o)
