Happy 4th of July

Happy 4th of July! There were lots of fireworks around here last night but we ended up staying in to cook dinner and watch a movie. That's typical of me... planning to go out but then staying in instead. I'm just a homebody at heart! Here I am earlier in the week carrying around my new Field Guided tote. I finally caved and bought one after seeing them on so many other blogs. I'm so glad I did! It's a little bigger than my Mr. Fox tote and perfect for carrying around a day's worth of needs; my purse, a sweater for cool nights, any little things I pick up along the way. It has definitely been a regular presence on my shoulder since I got it.

  2. Lovely polkadot dress my dear! I'm a bit of homebody too. It doesn't help that I have to be at work at 5am on Tuesday. That mean's I probably won't stay up too late to watch fireworks. Have a great holiday!

  8. I just love totes, full stop. Only started using them when I went back to uni for post-graduate course recently. Now I'm addicted...

  9. I think it's a little funny how the piping in your dress next to the tote in the last picture looks like iPod headphones...a bit incongruous for you're style. Anyway, quite lovely, as usual. Enjoy your holiday, however you end up celebrating!

  11. You look so gorgeous in the pretty polka dot dress. And I love that tote!!

And I too always find myself idealizing about watching fire works but in the end kids aren't my cup of tea when they're running around with sparklers so I usually just watch the fireworks on tv. Lame, but eh. :)

  14. Wow your outfit is lovely on you. I love chickens and wish I could have some here but don't know how that would work out in the winter. . I should really ask a few people I know who DO have chickens (even in my area. . including my husband's aunt. ah. silly me). I could imagine just how many fireworks you hear in PA. Everyone in NJ buys from PA and illegally set them off in NJ (because we aren't allowed to since houses are so close together and such). I was afraid the neighbors were going to burn my place last night with theirs!! Happy Independence Day to you.
