Check it Out!

My ever-so-talented boyfriend Tom, who accompanies me on all of my photographic excursions, now has his photography and artwork displayed for sale at imagekind.com. If you're at all interested in photography you should definitely check it out. Here's one of his photos, taken of um, me(!) at a 70's themed costume party last summer.

I don't know much about photography, but to me he seems very talented, and this picture of you is great!

I love that photo...I've been perusing your posts and I love your blog! The stuff you have on sale now is awesome. I was thinking about doing an ebay vintage store venture over the summer...tips? I am also going to add you to my link list!

Thanks everyone!

Marilyn: As far as your question regarding an EBay store, my advice would be to expect it to be a lot more work than you think it's going to be. Don't get me wrong, it's also very rewarding and who can beat thrift shopping for a living? Just be prepared that between shopping for the clothes, taking and editing photos, writing up descriptions for every piece, maintaining the auction pages, preparing all the packages for shipping (including all the customs forms for international shipping), trips to the post office, etc... It really adds up to a lot of work. Best of luck to you if you decide to go for it! :)

Thanks for replying on both here and my blog! Much appreciated...my mom and aunt and uncle are ebayers for a living and I've been witness to them staying up until four am doing invoices and descriptions. But while they sell pretty elaborate vintage clothing, I was looking to sell to a younger audience as you do that is comprised more of the trend conscious and fashion obsessed than collectors. And you're right...pretty much nothing is better than thrifting for a living! :)
