Of all the crazy things I've found at thrift stores, this is definitely one of my favorites. I've been looking for old patches to sew onto a blazer or jacket. I figured I might be able to find an old uniform or shirt at the thrift store with a couple of patches on it that I could use. Last week I found this vest, covered with patches from all over the world. Apparently it belonged to someone in a caravan club (there's a Slo-Pokes Caravan patch on the back). It seems they bought a patch in every country on their travels. Now my only problem is going to be deciding which ones to use!

i can count to three swedish patches! (:
I'm afraid, that there is no patches from Poland=( But I'm sure that they will be very usefull. I love jackets with patches from Balenciaga's collection f/w 2007.
styledigger: I know! I was hoping for a Polish patch too as by boyfriend is Polish.
Kind of a shame to take them off. :P
Wow neat, they have really travelled haven’t they? Use the union jack one it looks super cool, that’s just my bias talking ^_^
thats so cool!
My backpack from my gap year is like that only not quite so extensively travelled. I love country patches like that :)
Wow I wonder why they got rid of it. It looks like it was quite the hobby for awhile. How awesome to find something that was evidently such a treasure to someone for a time.
Oh my it's nice to see my home country former Yugoslavia (Jugoslavija) patch too. That made me smile big time:-)

I like the Scottish patches (since I am). great find indeed. I have lots of patches but I don't put them on anything yet, I know wasteful.
Anon: I know! I haven't been able to bring myself to cut into it yet. But I'm sure whoever owned it previously would be glad to know that someone will use and love their patches as much as they did.
Ooh, what a cool patch vest! i would probably wear the vest as is, 'cause I'm a giant nerd.
