What I'm Wearing

shirt: J. Perse
skirt: thirfted & altered
jacket: H&M
tights: H&M
belt: vintage
scarf: made from a thrifted skirt
shoes: UO

It's pouring rain again today so I spent the morning in front of the sewing machine. I altered several dresses to sell in the store as well as this skirt. If my wardrobe was lacking anything lately, it's been short skirts. I have a plethora of below-the-knee wool plaid skirts but I've been craving more mini's. This was a longer skirt I simply cut off and hemmed. I also had another long hippie skirt to sew but rather than make two skirts out of it like I did last time, I made one mini skirt and used the rest to make this scarf.

I agree, lovely belt! I like cutting off skirts as well, although half the time I am too lazy to hem them and just let the edges fray a bit, haha.

I love that skirt!

I think it's nice that you dress up even when it's raining. I have a tendency to just wear a sweatshirt and galoshes and not put much more thought when it rains..

Your scarf is amazing!

Did you just get the cloth left over from your skirt and wrap it around your neck, or did you hem it or fringe it somehow?

anon: I took the fabric left over from the bottom half of the skirt and wrapped it around my neck. That simple!
