Mamalicious and Smilin' Gal
After dropping off my packages at the post office this afternoon the weather was so darn nice I didn't want to go home quite yet. Instead I wandered over to Queen Street where all the cute little vintage shops are located. My favorite is a two in one shop, Mamalicious and Smilin' Gal Vintage. The place is over flowing with amazing vintage finds all at very fair prices. I never fail to see a dozen or so things that I want to take home. Today it was a set of four vintage Pyrex nesting bowls, his and hers vintage paint-by-number portraits of Jesus and Mary, a pair of vintage Givenchy sunglasses, an oversized woven leather bag and a feathered hat. I was good and didn't buy anything! But I did take the time to try on some of their adorable vintage dresses. The white crochet one is from the 60's and came with matching crochet bell bottoms (you can see them hanging on the door behind me). The blue is from the 50's and is so sweet. It tempted me the most but like I said, I was good!

Too adorable! I love the layouts... I always wish I could lay my house out like a vintage store but it never quite works.
Queen street is where most of the second hand stores in my city are found too! Coincidence? Perhaps, but cool nonetheless.
Anyways, In conclusion, I love everything you wear and everything you write.
You are better than me! I would have not only bought everything mentioned but probably half of the shop!
I NEVER seem to have good vintage stores! ugg
Im so envious
HOW did you leave that white dress??? with bell-bottoms! you're a pillar of strength, young lady.
that blue one is to die for, and if fits you perfectly!
I hate to lead you down the spending path but go back there and buy it for yourself!! xx
You should run back for that white dress-it's scrumptious and fits like a glove!!
Oh the blue dress reminds me of a prom dress :). It's cute!
But the white one is eben better - perfect fit.
i don't understand how you can leave all these beutiful things behind? your so damn right. you really are a good girl!
It's so hard to save money and don't buy any of an amount of cute things. Poor girl!
I'm in love with the blue one. There are no (yes NO!!!) nice vintage shops around here (Belgium baby!)
Oh my gosh, you look so cute! I'm strangely intrigued by those crocheted bell-bottoms. I would have caved and bought everything you listed– bell bottoms included.
If we'd have vintage boutiques like that in Finland, I would get bankrupt in few days!
I really love that blue dress on you, it's a real shame that you didn't buy it.
this store looks so cute!
that blue dress is fantastic. I wish we had more vintage shops in my area.
Yesterday I tried to post a comment here, but something went wrong...by the way I adore the blue dress and the entire boutique...you can tell the owners they have an admirer in Italy ;-)
I'm curious about the price range of vintage clothes in a store like this, cause here they can (often) ask you150+ Euros for a single dress!
alicepleasance: Sorry the comments weren't working for you! I'm not sure what was going on.
Since I live in a small town the vintage prices here are great. The blue dress was only $35 and the white two piece was only $45. All of the shoes and bags I was looking at were under $20. If I were in NY or LA the prices would have been three or four times that.
Lucky girl!!! I would have gone bankrupt long time ago with so nice stores and so great prices :-)
Cute pictures!
Oh, I would have gotten both the dresses for sure! They were lovely, and the store looks amaxing.
wait, so where are you located?
I am living in Lancaster, PA.
