Dreamy Dresses

Over the last couple of weeks, I've saved all of these photos into my style inspiration folder. It wasn't until last night that I noticed the same pastel pink theme running through all of them. First we have the always lovely Effie in perhaps the prettiest vintage dress I've ever laid eyes on. Next is this ruffled number captured on the streets of NYC by super.fantastic.picture.time. Then we have Betty and Alix both rocking the same floaty dress by Topshop. So... this realization sent me on a late night internet hunt for something equally dreamy.

My favorite find is this ruffled dress being sold at Pret a Portabello. Did you know you could shop London's famed market online? Now we know! Next is the very same Topshop dress worn so well by Alix and Betty. A couple of great stateside alternatives are this dress from Forever 21 and this one by Urban Outfitters. Oh! Decisions, decisions.

I love these looks. Usually I stay away from soft pinks and ruffles because I think they make me look like I'm 5 years old. However, these items are incredibly grown-up and elegant. I'm totally coveting everything!

The Topshop dress is divine, especially worn by Betty. The pale pink goes so well with grey, you're right, oh so dreamy.

Ohhhh that last one on the right, with the lace around the collar. I'd do some terrible things for a dress like that. By the way, I loved you in The Vintage Society's traveling shirt movie! You are such an inspiration.

Oh wow, I am drooooling over the UO one. It's perfect and so adorably twenties, not to mention I'm such a sucker for a dropwaist!

Hey... I ordered that F21 dress and it turns out that it's not quite long enough to be a dress! It's still cute, but now I am stuck trying to figure out what to layer under it in this NYC heat.

oo those are gorgeous, Effie's is the dream dress truly, but the ones you found rock, the urban one is very 20s!

Unfortunately, I don't have any sort of romantic dresses. The options you provided are all so beautiful.

those are some gorgeous dresses!
I think I may attempt to wear some of my paler pink numbers, though they do tend to make me look overtly tanned...

Thanks so much for all of your comments!

Erin: Interesting about the F21 dress. Sometimes their pieces do run short.

Stephie: Wow! Thanks so much. I'm glad you're enjoying the blog.

Rosaline: Thanks for the tips. I'll be sure to check those out. :)
