More Inspiration from Toast

When flipping through catalogues or perusing the internet for wardrobe inspiration my finds usually fall into one of two categories. One, I see something like a dress or a shoe or a hat that I would like to buy and add to my own wardrobe or two, I see something that while I don't want to buy it, it leaves an impression or sparks an idea. The new Built By Wendy collection, as seen a couple of posts back, falls into the first category. I literally want to own each and every piece in that collection. Flipping through the online Toast catalogue, I found many things that fit into the second category. I don't really see any particular piece that I would buy, but the images capture an overall idea of a color pallet and mood that inspires me. I take away from these images the idea that it would be fun to have a sunny yellow coat to brighten a dreary winter day. I would like to try wearing cream colored textured tights with a grey and black outfit to lighten things up a bit. I'm looking forward to knotting a long scarf high on my neck to block out the wind. I like the idea of wearing brown and black pieces together. I'm going to be on the lookout for a woolly sweater vest to layer over a long sleeve tee.

I love the new BBW collection for Fall! We bought a lot of it for the store and I can not wait for it to come in!!! So preppy, cute and also romantic. That could be my theme for the season.

I know what you mean. There are several catalogs that I look through for inspiration more than anything else. Toast is always great for that! For example, I have a red coat that I hardly ever wear and that first shot is making me want to get it out and ready for Fall :D

I know what you mean. I have the same sorts of categories. one that you get inspired of and one that you can but the close. You hit the head on the nail. As we say in sweden. haha.

Oh, I REALLY like the shot of the girl in the trousers with the leather jacket and newsboy cap--I could stare at it for hours...I might just stare at it for hours.

That's why I love flipping through Free People catalogues. Even though I can't buy anything they sell, I get ideas and that always pleases me.

Great post, those photos are absolutely beautiful.

I bought thick cream coloured tights around a year ago, thinking I wouldnt be able to do much with them. I quickly found that they are perfect for lightning up an outfit, as you mentioned.

I haven't visited this Toast sight, but it looks like it could be a new addiction! I love that kind of inspiration, if I see an item in a picture that I want to copy exactly, it always ends in unfruitful searches and dissapointment.

Catalogues are fantastic places to be inspired. Its a cliche but nature often inspires me and quirky instances when the neighbourhood pets make an interesting mess with their rummaging or more disturbingly their faecal matter *blushes because of embarassing omission)
