Vintage Paper Dolls

Waaayyy back when this blog was just a wee little baby blog, I wrote about a collection of Swedish paper dolls that I discovered online. I recently thought of them and tried to follow my original links to the paper doll site. Sadly, the site has been removed. I wish I had saved more of the images! A little more searching turned up another collection on Flickr. This one is not nearly as extensive as the original but it has some real gems nonetheless. Wouldn't it be nice if these paper outfits could come to life?

love that collection! Too bad it's just on paper... but we could make some 'real life' replicas!

Oooh!! I love old paper dolls! :) If nothing else, the clothes are always so fun to study. I used to have a huuuge collection of dolls; I don't know where the box of them went. I should go dig them up!

Oh, when I was a child paper dolls were my favourite thing to play with, and as I got a little older I would make my own with all my design attempts. These ones are lovely, I can appreciate the desire to have the clothes come to reality!

Hi there,
Your post reminded me of some paper dolls I really like, and I ended up blogging about them. I mentioned that your post reminded me of them, so it's at http://studiokiekje.typepad.com if you'd like to see it. Thanks for the reminder, and the nostalgia!:)
