Purple Haze
dress: vintage
tights: AA
shoes, gloves & headband: vintage
faux fur collar: taken off of an H&M sweater
As you may already know, one of my favorite pastimes is exploring old, abandoned buildings. A couple of weekends ago my boyfriend and I had the opportunity to go into this wonderfully dilapidated house to take photos. On these trips I'm typically dressed in my exploring uniform of cargo pants and a sweat shirt since the whole deal usually involves getting pretty filthy. But every time I go into one of these places I'm always imagining how much fun it would be to have a fashion shoot against the lovely peeling paint, dusty walls and broken windows. So... this time I took along a few outfits just in case the condition were right. It felt a little silly at first, traipsing around in my heels, setting up my tripod and posing in front of the camera. But after a few tries I got into the idea and ended up having a lot of fun with it. I'll be posting more of the shots over the next week or so as I get around to picking my favorites. I have to say a big thank you to Laura for taking us to this wonderful house. Thank you!

the color of that dress is painfully amazing!
I love the plum dress and how you styled it with the fur collar. So Hitchcock!
I also finally posted about my Elizabeth Hawes collection if you're interested: http://blog.marketpublique.com
Your dress is such a beautiful color and it looks great on you as well. I love the idea of old rundown houses, it makes really neat photos!
The clothes looks amazing as usual, but I like the dress in particular. Purple really suits you!
sooo beautiful! thanks for this inspiration :)
Those pics are really really good. Could you let me know what type of camera was used for the shoot?

These are quite simply amazing. & make me think I should take some lovely things to wear the next time we had to Walla Wall (where there are lots of abandoned farms & houses.)
hi, i just recently discovered your blog and i absolutely love it!!! its soo interesting. i just have a quick question, what kind of camera do you use for your photos and how do you do that vintage effect to your photos? its seems like you use a similar one for almost all your pictures and i really like it. what program do you use? thanks
fantastic.
Lovely. But I'm repeating myself. I wonder how you find all these spots... Here there aren't any houses like that. :(
I love old houses too...they are so unreal. You took beautiful photos, I love them all. And your violet dress and fur collar looks amazing.
Stunning photos!
WOW, gorgeous photoshoot! I love the rundown look, compared to your stunning outfit!
I've given you a blog award, heehee :)
Thanks, thanks and more thanks!

wow! i love the pictures. the dress is fab too
You look stunning. That house looks fascinating too. I love exploring old homes as well, my mother used to take me when I was little.
eek, and how great did it turn out! Though you must be so accustomed to taking photos of yourself that nothing could feel strange, surely?! I find the same though, as far as the interesting places I want to take pictures are the same ones I'm wearing my most casual of outfits...
I'm so glad you combined two of your loves here.
These photos are stunning! Especially the one with the mirror.
it's all very Anthropologie.
