Funny story about this, my favorite purse. I stopped carrying it for a while because of an incident where I was convinced that it (along with everything in it) was lost forever. I had taken it with me on the bus to visit some thrift stores one cold afternoon. At the end of the day I was piled high with bags of goodies I had bought. Once back on the bus, I tried to get everything organized so that it would be easier to carry on my walk home. I didn’t realize until I had made it all the way to my front door that the purse had fallen under the seat of the bus when I was rearranging my packages. Complete panic set in as I frantically rang the doorbell (I didn’t have my keys!). Tom opened the door to find me on my hands and knees in a pile of thrift store clothes, all dumped from their bags as I desperately hoped that my purse was somewhere buried in the mess. We quickly threw everything in the door and ran down to hop in Tom’s car (him still in his pj’s, bless him) and jetted off to the bus station.

Long story short, a few radio calls later the very, very kind bus driver stopped the bus and searched under the seats until she found my purse… with everything still inside. Whew! I wasn’t sure which I was more upset about: the thought of losing every thing that was in my purse or the purse itself. After that I was terrified I’d somehow manage to lose it again, this time for good. I guess the panic has subsided because I was happy to pull it back out of its hiding place this morning.

There are so many things I have lost in the weirdest places and I was always lucky enough to get them back somehow. Love your outfit very much!

Great hat! I know the feeling...I'm always double checking myself to make sure I haven't left something behind. I'm glad you found your favorite purse again, it looks perfect with that outfit:)

I double check everything, always! A couple years ago I left a folder full of important papers in a supermarket trolley...I noticed it when I was on my way back home... Luckily I ran back and found the trolley still there but it was like a nightmare!
Love the hat :-)

I'm glad you found your purse in the end! It was definitely worth a pyjama trip for Tom, then :)

I love your hat, the feather is so jaunty! Did it come like that or did you add it?

The blouse looks so romantic and the feather hat is lovely, suits you perfectly !! I always lose my scarf or my gloves in the bus...

Wow, so lucky that you managed to get it back! I lost my favorite cardigan last summer (on the bus, I think) and I'm still bummed about it. Now I'm so paranoid about leaving things behind.

love that hat! And so lucky you found your purse. I once lost my favorite winter scarf (though not as valuable an item if you consider a purse's contents...) for over a month and still managed to get it back... :o

Oh gosh! Thank goodness, I'd be sadder about the purse I think, unless my camera was in there!

You have the beeeest vintage! Aw, and what good luck. Usually when I lost things in public places they're gone for good :( Yay that you got it back, it's such a sweet bag. ^_^

Last year I had my purse stolen out of my office. I was more upset about the bag than all the things in it... I frantically began checking the bushes in the park close by hoping someone had ditched it in a bush and just taken the cash. I found it hanging upside down in a bush; empty, but got the purse back. Whew! At least a passport can be replaced!

Like so many people, I adore your hat!!!! What a find! I rifle through Thrift shops looking for a hat like that. It has such personality. You look so mysterious wearing it.
