There are few things that I miss about living in Los Angeles: friends, the flea market, an endless array of vegetarian restaurants and, I've just realized, easy access to every international fashion magazine you could think of. It was so easy then to walk right across the street to The Grove and pick up just about any magazine at Barnes and Noble. Now that I'm living in a small town on the east coast I don't think my chances are very good of running across a copy of Lula so instead I'm going to have to make do with the scans that are popping up on the internet. It's not exactly as fun as flipping through the pages myself but as girl's got to do what a girl's got to do.

these shot are gorgeous and i am loving your little collage effect too.
OMG, i think i've read the whole magazine already. Everyone has been posting about this for the last couple weeks. I've never heard of it! Oh, and I tried to subscribe to Domino, but i think they are already out of business!?!?
I have actually never come across a copy, so I have always just soothed my need with what's available on the web...
I feel your pain. I want to get my paws on a true tangible Lula so bad!!
hey,
there's a newsagent beneath my work that sells lula magazine (chanel iman is staring at me from my desk!). if anyone wants a copy, get in touch and i can buy copies and send them out
x
I love the colours and the girlish mood! and your blog by the way :)
PG.
Lately, magazines and spring things make me want summer. I actually want to be horrendously sweaty!
I don't live in a city, but usually the larger bookstores (as in, the biggest borders in the area, because even though there are a few, only one of them ever has it!) will have Lula late in the season. It's such a pain!
I love LA! I miss so many things about it, I can't wait to go back! I also love Lula! You could check it out at urban outfitters! I'm pretty sure they usually carry it! Love your blog and your style!
I have no idea where to find this mag either!
oo the lighting is fantastic
Thanks for all of your comments!
ryder: Thanks! I have a little too much fun making these collages I think. ;)
Sheila: I know! I was just going to subscribe to Domino as well. Too bad.
lee-lee: That's amazing and so sweet of you to offer. Perhaps I'll get in touch.
PG: Thanks! The colors are making me wish for spring.
kater: I have just officially reached my capacity for tolerence to the cold. I'm done! Bring on summer!
Jennifer: I miss LA sometimes, but mostly I don't. We don't even have an UO in the town where I live but it's nice to know they carry the magazine. Thanks!
I love the make up in these pictures! Especially the lip colors in the first two!

this is how i feel about having moved back home to buffalo from philadelphia... i used to be able to walk fifteen minutes, or bike five minutes to borders; now the closest one is a car drive away. & i don't have a car, haha.
btw, i finally launched my own blog, + a big cartel webstore. i was selling vintage in a shop i opened with some friends in november, but it isn't worth it right now. too expensive. bflo is too small.
sorry, rambling. http://erosvintage.net =)
this is unrelated, but have you seen the orla kiely line home accessories line for target? i thought of you when i saw an ad for it!
oh man! I need this copy of Lula, these and the other scans i've seen are just perfection!
I may have to try to emulate that last outfit, in a more clothes kind of way of course!
ugh. i just caved and ordered a subscription. it's 8 million dollars but i filed it under "justifiable by reason of potential artistic and fashion inspiration." totally legit, right?
You've been tagged on my blog! 7 things about you
:-)
I would love to own all of Lula's current and back issues... alas, $54 for 2 issues is a little steep for me.
Thanks for sharing! Beautiful. Can't wait to pick it up and put it on the coffee table. I live in Burlington, VT which is the largest city in VT...which isn't saying that much. I'm able to pick up at Borders Books though. p.s. I love your blog!
those shoes in the last photo...

I don't know what I would do when I couldn't get my hands on Lula. To here, Estonia, it arrives reaaaly late, but at least it does. And I am SO grateful for that :D
At least we can see some amazing photos in the website of Lula! ^^
I thought of you when I picked up an extra copy this morning... I'm giving it away on my blog. xo
