Introducing the Sally Jane Vintage Boutique on Etsy

This weekend I've been hard at work on a new project... the Sally Jane Vintage Boutique on Etsy! I've been thinking of selling on Etsy for quite a while but didn't want to completely abandon my Ebay sales. I know a lot of you don't like the Ebay format with the bidding and waiting and losing out at the last second. So from now on, in addition to my regular Ebay listings, I'm going to feature a few hand selected pieces from my collection for instant purchase via Etsy. Here's a look at the first batch. Hop on over to Etsy and grab 'em while you can! Thank so much for stoppin' by. Love ya! -SJ

Nice! Agreed, the first dress is tits. And that red striped sweater is super cute, too.

My store is a little slow right now on etsy...but I'm sure your stuff will fly! Good luck!

Yay etsy! I'm so glad it exists. If you ever run into something weird or need some advice (I know you've been selling for quite a while, but sometimes there are weird snags on etsy that defy logic), I'd be happy to help. I am way less insane than the crazies who frequent the etsy forums, trust me. I hope your etsy shop is a hit!

anja louise, for real! There are some crrrazy forum bullies on etsy! I was attacked for posting a thread about my love for 90s grunge and floral revival...they shut my shop down for 2 days...ha!

Thanks so much for all of your encouragement! So far, so good. :)

anja louise: Thanks! I just may take you up on that. :)

Hello,

I was sent a link to your website by a customer... she fell in love with that cute vintage swimsuit that you posted about a while ago, and said didn't fit you!

http://sallyjanevintage.blogspot.com/search?q=bathing%20suit

Anyway, she has asked me if I can reproduce it. I was wondering if you would mind telling me what kind of material it is made out of? It appears to be a silk of some type, but then I'm only going off the pictures.

Thanks so much for your time! If you have any help in this area, I'd love to hear from you, just leave me a comment on my blog.

Yay, you will love Etsy! I know I do! Plus their selling fees are way less than Ebay & the customers are the sweetest! :)

By the way that floral dress is adorable! Do you shorten the majority of your dresses?

I found your site through Lucky Magazine's "cute outfit of the day." I love your stuff! Inspired by your blog, too.
Where did you get the jeans you're wearing with the sweater and the red 50s blouse?
Keep doing what you're doing!

Kate: The swimsuit you're refering to appears to be made out of a lightweight cotton. There are no fabric content tags. I'll be happy to send more photos your way if you'd like details of the piece. Let me know your email address!

Vintage Rose: Thanks! So far I'm really enjoying Etsy. I shorten some of the dresses I sell but not all of them. None of the dresses listed on Etsy have been altered.

Modbean: Thanks! I had no idea I was linked from Lucky site. If you have a link, I'd love to see it! The jeans I'm wearing are by Cheap Monday and I bought them from Urban Outfitters.
