Every little piece in your life will it mean something to someone?*

[1]
collage inspired by the lovely ones over at Clever Nettle

dress: vintage from the 1385 collection
shoes: 30s oxfords
purse: vintage
*listening to: Editors - An End Has A Start "The Weight of the World"

First of all, thanks so much for all of your advice and suggestions on getting a dress form. I've already been scouring Craigslist and found a vintage one that I really like that's just 30 miles from me (of course I haven't heard back from the seller yet). If that doesn't work out I'm going to check out a couple of local flea markets and if all else fails, I'll end up ordering one from Ebay.

Today I'm working on getting new items posted in the Etsy boutique. My plan is to take photos this morning and then edit and upload everything while watching True Blood on HBO On Demand. One of my guiltiest pleasures is all things vampire related. Ha! I've just discovered this show and now I think I'm hooked!

Thanks so much for your comments!

All of my collages are made using Photoshop. For the bottom one here, I set up a tripod and took four photos from the exact same spot. Then I layered them in Photoshop. Easy peasy!

I'm really addicted to vampire stories as well and I started watching True Blood too, but at today I'm still very disappointed...I expected way more than this from Alan Ball. Plus, everyone told me the show was great (you know, a lot of my friends are film critics too, so I usually trust them...) so when I watched the pilot I was very upsetted. I like that Southern vibe, I like the credits and of course I like that hot vampire (I definitely have a thing for English actors!) BUT I don't like anything else! Most of all I don't like Anna Paquin. Her and her character...!

i had no idea there's a show based on the sookie stackhouse books! thats totally a guilty pleasure of mine not great writing or anything but i'm a sucker for the werepanthers and vampires.

ah such great pictures very spooky with the faided yous and the old house! perfect setting, i can totally see you in a vampire movie!! i think it's awesome that vampires are your guilty pleasure. i am sucker for anything that has to do with vampires. i watch the corniest movie if only its a vampire movie. funny thing is, i hate normal horror movies, they scare me to death, but if theres a vampire in it, i'll watch it all the way through. i love the old dracula movies, the special effects are hilarious! i don't think we have any shows right now, last were moonlight and bloodties and the rerun on buffy of course...
i'll check out true blood as soon as i get back to the us! thanks a lot!!

I just had to comment when I read some of my favorite lyrics as the title for this entry! Ahh, the Editors. So good. And as always, lovely photos! I love the transparency in the last one.

The lack of originality lately frustrates me as a reader of fashion blogs. You point out yourself that you copied this new collage style from Clevernettle, and Libemarlene posted "Summer Finds" on May 4th, then you posted with the same title and almost identical "finds" on May 11th. It seems like you are a creative person, it would be more enjoyable to see something fresh when visiting your blog.

Craigslist can be frustrating, you gotta love the hunt! And I have a similar weakness for zombies, surprise surprise :~)

I am a die hard true blood fan myself and can't wait for the next season in June...Did you know that the show is based on these (sookie stackhouse) novels, I've read them all (waiting for the new one) and if you like the show then you will loooove the books. The twilight fad just doesn't compare! By the way, I love your blog and frequent it quite often.

Oh dear! I can't believe you have that dress!!! I fell in love with it the second Francesca posted the photo on her flickr! It's really the most perfect dress in every way...the colors, the fit, the stripes, the little perfect pockets...!! It's such a dream!! And you really wear it perfectly! I'm a bit green--but I'm glad it founds its way to your closet because it looks just like it was made for you! :)
