Takin' A Day Off
You know that old saying, "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all"? Today I feel like it should be "if you can't blog about something interesting, don't blog at all". Honestly, I'm feeling pretty uninspired these days. I'm under a strict, self-imposed "no buying" ban so in order to not tempt myself, I'm trying not to look at all the fashion sites I usually look at. I haven't been keeping up with my usual bevy of blogs or flipping through fashion magazines looking for ideas like I usually would. So... I'm basically taking the day off!
But I will leave you with this Hedi Slimane photo that epitomizes everything I'm looking forward to about summer: wearing sundresses, sitting on green grass, hanging out with friends, long hair falling down bare backs, beat up Chuck Taylors, soaking up the sun and sipping fresh lemonade. Of course when summer really arrives with its blistering temperatures and unforgiving humidity I'll look back at this and wonder where in the world I got this romantic vision of summer.

you deserve a break today...enjoy and your adoring followers will be here when you get back (no pressure!). LOVELY image.
that's a pretty great summary of the things to look forward to in summer! you've just made me realize how excited I really am! I've been in the same boat as you, trying to avoid shopping online (i made an exception for your shop!) and it's got me all uninspired and bored with things!
i hope you feel cheerful and inspired again soon! :D enjoy your time off!
How funny-I was just at July Stars blog and she just did a post about this photographer. Funny. The images are stunning.
Staring at chain-link fences...
Seriously though, it is a lovely photo.
The photo you selected is so inspiring. I'm in the middle of a pretty hectic quarter at my university and the picture was a lovely reminder of the world outside of textbooks :0)
