In A Mad, Mad World

madmen

After viewing last night's episode for the second time I'm as in love with this show as I've ever been. Yes, it was a bit over the top in parts (I don't want to give anything away for ones who have not yet seen the episode) but I thought it was all handled very well. Tom and I (OK, really just me) were over on the AMC site looking at behind the scenes info and just generally nerding out when I discovered you could Mad Men yourself. We had way too much fun creating little Mad Men versions of ourselves. And um, I kinda want that dress in real life?

i LOVE Mad Men! Too bad I don't get AMC and i'm too lazy to find it online...I've only seen the 1st season of DVD. but when I get some time I'm definitely going to Mad Men-ify myself!

I should rent Mad Men sometime... but I think it would be a huge distraction (as I wouldn't sleep or do schoolwork).

Mad Men you looks absolutely gorgeous. You should acquire that dress somehow...

I dunno what to think of mad men season 3 to best honest with you. its been a bit slow and cerebral to start off with. I appreciate character development, but some episodes are totally devoid of plot and others are jam packed like the other night. the lawnmower incident was really insane and almost campy horror film in the way they did it. I can't decide if I enjoyed the episode or not because its sort of nice to see a change in the show, but that was nearly tasteless. I'm glad you're enjoying it, but I find this season a bit weak so far

Haha, beautiful. And how unexpectedly INSANE was that last episode? I was flailing my arms in the air shouting OH MY GOD at the tv.

I thought it was a great episode. The new season seemed to be moving a little too slowly at first, compared to the first season. But this one made up for it. For a while I was thinking they were getting too self-indulgent with the story lines. I wonder what Joan is going to do?

Yes! Me and my husband are totally obsessed with Mad Men right now. We "Mad Mened" Ourselves too! I love the catchy tune that plays. But after awhile I did have to mute it. haha
