Trench Coats

a
photos from German Vogue November 2009

This is the year that I finally took the plunge and got a classic trench coat. It's one of those items that I had no idea how much I would use it until it was hanging in my closet. I can throw it on over almost anything and instantly feel a little more put together. I think these photos are proof that you can look good doing almost anything as long as you're wearing a classy trench coat. Well, I guess being Claudia Schiffer doesn't hurt.

Trenches make it so easy to pull yourself together, just a tie of a belt and you look instantly classic

I discovered my love for the trench this past year with a navy blue one.... but it never made me throw a chair over my arm! Poor Claudia! Great post.

Love the cropped trench.

I love the trench coat Claudia is wearing, as much as I hate this editorial.

Her trench is pretty perfect, as if her perfectly sculpted German face! I just got myself a trench as well (two actually but I should return one of them,) and it's too cold to wear them now, but I have a feeling I'll be wearing them all the time when I go to Portugal in a week!

I found the most wonderful trench coat at Forever 21 last year... it was even on sale for $15!! And it's SHINY and has a SPINNY SKIRT!! It's pretty much my favorite thing in the whole world. =]
