First thing in the morning Tom and I are hitting the road to NYC for the weekend. If you've been reading this blog for a while, you probably know two things about me... I am a huge geeky Danzig fan and I have a wonderfully talented boyfriend. This weekend, those two worlds are colliding as we head into the city for a very exciting event! Now, here's the part where I have to brag a little bit about the previously mentioned boyfriend. For quite some time he's been working on a project with Eerie Von (the bassist for Danzig). For all the years that Eerie was involved with The Misfits, Samhain and Danzig he kept everything. I mean everything! I remember when we were living in LA and a huge box of old photos, negatives, flyers, passes and all sorts of other goodies arrived at our apartment (yes, this has been going on since LA!). What fun we had sorting through that box! Tom was able to take that huge jumble of keepsakes and turn it into the most amazing book. If you're a Misfits fan or a Danzig fan it's seriously a must have.
Tom was even sweet enough to sneak my name into the book. If you get your hands on a copy and look hard enough you'll see my name listed as a credit on a photo I snapped of Tom and Eerie hanging out at Poor Richard's Pub in Scranton last summer (yes, we were fans of The Office!). Ha, ha! I was so surprised when I saw it. I'll be sure to snap lots more photos while were in NY to share when we return. Til then...
You can read more about the book at Pitchfork or order it from Amazon if you're interested.
Are the blood show photos a bit too much? It's not like it's real blood. Ha, ha!

Mike is going to LOVE this! That's really awesome that you are so into Danzig, I never did get all that into it myself, but Mike is just obsessed, so he'll be endlessly jealous of your talented boyfriend and his project! Can't wait to see the result!

This is so cool! The Misfits are pretty good, but Lyle from Minor Threat is what really got me.
