Maybe it's because I'm starting to get ready for warmer weather or maybe it's just wanting to step a bit out of my comfort zone but I think I'm ready to try to whole denim-shorts-with-tights thing. I hadn't really given it much thought but upon looking through my street style folder I realized I had saved quite a few shots like these. I guess I was trying to tell myself something! I'm pretty sure I have an old pair of Levis stuffed in a box with some summer clothes somewhere in the attic. If it wasn't so cold up there I'd go fish them out now. ;)

I love the darker colour shorts in TSATC's photo - I really like the others, but I've always shyed away from black tights and pale shorts as I feel too old* and not grungey enough for them... but with the darker shade and high waist they look so put together, gorgeous.
I'd also love to see you experiment with this look - could it stretch to a 'four ways'???
(*I'm 24, btw, so it's totally in my head!)

i'd love to see how you would wear denim shorts! i actually put some on yesterday over tights, but ended up being too shy to go out in them! after seeing all these pictures i'll definitely give it another go!!

ah, i love this look and wear my jean shorts all the time (even in winter!)
their shorts fits them very well. and vintage attire really rocks. even it is from the past, it can still influence the trend in the present and future industry of fashion and designing.
I usually hate hate hate denim shorts and then I see a picture of Effie and I'm like...ok....maybe yes!
