Hair Inspiration

So I've been thinking I'm going to try to let the bangs grow out. This is the photo I'm going to have to look at everyday in order to keep the scissors out of my hands.

I'm currently attempting the same thing. I tried it once and then got frustrated and cut them again...hopefully this time it sticks! Good luck! xo

oh man, i wish you luck. i got so close and then chopped em back to bangs. i do love the long hippie hair though. you'd look great with the middle part.

Oh dear, I'll have to look that photo everyday too--I've been trying to grow out my bangs for what seems like the past six months! And it doesn't help that my hair is so fine that I can't sweep it to the side at all and that the growing out stage is so so so unattractive for my hair! Good luck growing out your bangs if you decide to do so, even though your haircut right now is so super cute especially when you wear lovely 60's dresses!

Funny, I am just starting to get bored with my lack of bangs, and recently shifted from a middle part to a side part. Since it's winter and cold, I end up blow-drying my hair, which kills my waves.

I know how you feel too - I had bangs for a long time and they kind of grew out a bit by accident (didn't have time to get to the hairdresser and too lazy to do it myself). They got long enough for me to wear swept to the side (won't grow them ALL the way out) and I liked them so decided to keep growing. It was really frustrating and they seemed to take forever to get to a good length (I have a cowlick too which is fun when styling) but you WILL get there! I really like mine now, and much less maintainence.

I've been thinking of growing my bangs out for a year and continue to trim my bangs once a week. Here's to you having more will power than I!

P.S. Did you try out the milkmaid braid tutorial I posted? I think you would look amazing sporting braids!

Good luck with your hair! I have admitted that I can not do it, so I´m not obsessed with that! I tried really hard in the past...

I've been thinking about it too... but it's sort of like giving up part of my identity. Every time I go to trim them, I think, should I just let them grow out? And then I give in and snip, snip, snip!

I can relate to that. I am growing out a layer that was cut, without consultation by a v.e.r.y. grumpy hairdresser back in October. The finge was so short I did't need to give it a trim until the start of Jan. I was a "bit upset".

gooood luck! i have such a hard time growing my fringe out! i always end up cutting it when it gets to that stage where it pokes you in the eyes constantly.

i know what you mean. i have had bangs for something like 2 years? now and i always think about it. they are defiantly different from what they were when i first got them, straight and as thick as i could get them. now they are a little more gown out, kinda parted in the middle. i say got for it!

my hair is waaay too thick to leave like this. I had mine grown out pretty long, but just had it trimmed thinned and layered. I'm still letting it get nice and long though.

glad to know i'm not alone. i've actually made my husband hide our scissors, but then i end up finding them, and suddenly there's hair all over the sink...

I just love it. The girl looks like a flower, she has a very romantic style.
