Etsy Update: Floral Grunge Revival

a (7)

The fact that these dresses and are now considered vintage makes me feel OLD! Ha, ha! I lived in these throughout high school along with a pair of Docs and colorful tights. I still have quite an affinity for these floral rayon dresses and must admit that I've kept a couple for myself to wear on casual days. In fact, I've been pretty much living in them lately. All of the ones seen here have now been added to the shop!

ahah your comment is funny. But I think vintage considerations about dress depend on its cup (I m not sure about this word in english), all flower dresses are not old ! :)
More generally, I find your style very intresting !

What goes around comes around I suppose! :) Are there any trends coming around now which have made you wish you'd kept some things you'd sold in the past I wonder?

Never commented you before but I've been a regular reader for quite some time, love your blog :)

Love these. I remember I got a baby doll floral dress in seventh or eighth grade, and I wore it with brown work boots and thought I was the coolest EVER.

Whoa there! When did the 90s become vintage? I thought "vintage" was stuff from 1920-1980. Before that would be "antique" and after that is just old stuff. Something that is 20 years old or less should not be called vintage.

I am all about the 90s floral lately! Great finds, they will make a good addition to anyones wardrobe.

Ditto on the feeling old thing, I too lived in these in high school with little mary-janes! They are pretty cute though. It's weird to think that the 90's are so long ago that they are coming back. I thought it was weird enough when it was the 80's coming back. When I see photos from the 90's now it does seem so far off. For a while I had a hard to defining the style of the 90's other than grunge and prep but now it seems so obvious. I think when you grow up with something it just seems normal.

FYI. 1990 WAS 20 years ago. Close enough. And i feel old too :-D But i wore ripped baggy jeans and band t's with my docs, not floral dresses :-D
Love you SJV!

I am 20 years old. Born in 1989. And I own two of these dresses at this moment haha...With docs to go with them haha....to me, it is not vintage, it is 90's grunge baby! =)

I lived in those little dresses once too. I picked up the cutest little floral skirt for myself when I was out thrifting a few days ago, can't wait to wear it. Lovely selections. Take Care, Carrie

I still have all my Docs from that era and a few of the dresses. Come to think of it, I still have some of the grandpa cardis I use to wear with them! It always seemed Morrisey to me. Anyway, love your blog!

Last Spring/Summer I swore off wearing dresses just like this because of being able to clearly remember wearing them in my teens. Now, I can't get enough of them!
