You must be somewhere in London, you must be loving your life and the rain...

It's already Friday and I'm just starting to feel like I'm back in the regular swing of things around here. It was a bit of a tough transition to get back to work after such a wonderful, relaxing week off. Yesterday I spent digging through my favorite thrift shops. I think I was in a bit of thrifting withdrawal after not going for two whole weeks. I found tons of new (old) pretty things for the shop and regular updates will resume next week. Promise!
Tom and I were out for a bit of a walk this afternoon, trying to enjoy a little fresh air before the thunderstorms hit tonight. I'm sort of keeping my fingers crossed for a southern style storm with lots of thunder and lightning that leaves the air heavy with humidity. I think that's just a bit of homesickness kicking in!
Anyhoo... while we were out, we stopped in front of this Georgian style brick home. Lancaster is ripe with this type of old brick home and I just love them. This particular one was built in 1760 and was occupied by John Passmore, Lancaster's first mayor. You may think I had to do a bit of research to come up with that tid-bit but really I cheated and read the historical marker that was right out front of the house. ;)

fantastic dress, I love the collar
Lovely dress :) I have never experienced thunderstorms like that but they sound pretty epic!
Gorgeous dress. Love the way it falls and flows around you.
Your dress is beautiful!! Your photos are always amazing!

This dress is stunning!! And you look great with the scarf in your hair.
We're having a lot of rain here, everyday rain...it's so bad! May is my favorite month and this year it looks like November :-(
Oh My that dress is gorgeous, so is the whole shoot. I love old style homes, there is just something so precious about them. Have a great weekend :)
What a beautiful dress! It looks so pretty and perfect with that scarf. Lovely, as always. :)

You always look so classic and pick the best locations! Lovely.
this Modcloth dress is beautiful and a nice staple piece for layering frilly blouses and various socks and tights. i do love! (the shape of the skirt is really nice too)
you can have all of the crazy storms we've been having here in Arkansas. the humidity is torture on my hair, but i have to admit, i do love those too.
beautiful, love the shoes. xo

you make the dress shine
I love the dress, and I love how you styled it. I adore brown and grey together. The pictures are great!
I'm 100% in love with those wedges!!! And I know you miss Sweet Home Alabama. Having grown up here in Guntersville, AL, I can't imagine living somewhere else. Even a short two year stint at Auburn for school had me homesick :) Hopefully the thunderstorm will be a welcome reminder!!
very cute dress, love that collar!
oh my my my... the new national album is AMAZING. great choice! they just embody that lost american dream.... almost like springsteen does. similar sounding vocals as well.
the collar on this dress is something else! gorgeous!
and while i'm here, i'm super behind on commenting, but your southern road trips posts really made my day! And I love that H&M dress, Ihave it in blue and only found out they had it in that color later.....I regretted my decision! :(
beeeautiful! As always, your photos are so inspiring! Love the perspective along the picket fence in that last image!
I really love this whole outfit. The dress is amazing and I love the styling in accessories. I really have been wanting a denim/chambray dress lately and you just made it worse. :)
What a lovely dress! You look beautiful. :)
I love the way you have used the scarf.
It's so interesting...you remind me so much of Leproust Vintage...and you both have the word 'vintage' in your name :)
Always love your amazing pix and style!!
I know it's always hard to get used to the routine after holidays... cheer up, you look amazing! and that dress is beautiful! :)
I love southern thunderstorms! That's what I'm used to, so I can imagine anything else being kind of weird and less dramatic.
I love the color on dress and that BAG!
Oh, i've just bought the national's new album too! Love the dress xx

This is possibly one of my most favorite of your outfits. The simplicity of your dress, headscarf, and simple wedges is just so perfect. :)
i REALLY hope modcloth gets a hold of that dress again soon! you really sell it!
love that dress and your bag.

Wonderful dress.
Beautiful collar - great bag too. Love the shot by the garden fence. What a nice angle.
This look is so easy and elegant. I like the colors of the outfit. And the house is beautiful. Is it cheesy that I want my own white picket fence someday?
