June Wish List

a

I sat down to write out a wishlist for June and to be honest, came up with a pretty short list. Truth be told, there's really not too much out there that I'm pining after right now. My closet is stocked full of summery sundresses and I already found the perfect vintage sandals to pair with them. What else can a gal ask for?

I don't really need any more dresses but I suppose if one of the above suddenly fell into my lap, I wouldn't say no. The one on the left is from Anthropologie and the one on the right is by Ivana Helsinki from The Moon and Mars.

I think the biggest (and most unrealistic) thing on my wishlist right now is for my hair to hurry up and grow out already! I love this girl's hair! I think my hair will be a similar color once it all grows out. I've been dying it for so long I'm not really sure what my natural color will look like! I remember reading an interview with Cate Blanchet and someone asked her what her natural hair color is. She answered that she thinks she's vaguely blond but not really sure anymore. That's about how I feel.

I have to say I'm still not convinced 100% on the whole clogs thing. I know for sure I'll never wear those backless mule type clogs. You can mark my word on that! Ugh. But, these t-strap Hasbeens are beginning to grow on me a bit. I blame this photo of Kelley Hoffman. I'm not sure I'd wear them with summer dresses but I'd like to stash them away until fall when I can wear them with tights.

My beloved Canon SD1000 took its final swan dive yesterday. I was taking photos from the shop, got my feet tangled up in the tripod and over it went. Now the screen just glows a weird shade of grey and you can't adjust any of the settings. It served me well and makes me a bit sad to lose it! I've already ordered its replacement in the form of the Canon SD1300. The one thing I haven't found is a wireless camera remote that will work with the Canon SD series cameras. Anyone have one that they use a remote with?

Sorry to hear about the final dive.

It is strange with hair. My hair colour changed quite significantly after I dyed it black a couple of times. The permanent dye (grown out years ago) turned out somewhat more permanent than expected. My hair isn't black anymore but far darker than before. :-)

I hear ya on the not wanting for much thing. I feel like summer's too short to wear all the pretty frocks I have! So sorry to hear about your camera, but am happy to hear a replacement is on the way!

it is crazy how many people are hoping to grow out their hair lately! I've been all about long hair my whole life, but it is always the craziest things that cause me to have to cut it at all. . .which last time was because I put dreadlocks in my hair for 5 months and missed brushing it but couldn't take them out. It is to the middle of my back now, but it was double that amount before. . .so my goal is to get to 34 inches again in hair length like I was before I put my dreadlocks in.

. . .
one day again I'll have that hair.

I love that first dress that you posted!! happy shopping.

It took me 1.5 years to fully grow out my hair. I'm naturally medium-dark blond and had been dying it brown for 10 years!

I was so glad I stuck with it. Now its much shinier and healthy. Its nice to see my own hair colour, which is much lighter than I remembered.

You won't regret it! Cutting my hair short helped me. I cut it into a cute bob, got highlights through the brown part and slowly transitioned to blond.

That first dress is dreamy, I really like the clogs too! I just thrifted a pair for 2,50$ this afternoon. I can't wait to waer them :)

Have a wonderful day doll :)

Oh nooo I am sorry to hear about your camera! I am always afraid of that happening to me, haha.

Also I agree about clogs... I dislike them on principle, but occasionally I will see someone wearing them and looking good in them...

that girl has amazing hair! I didn't like clogs much at first, but they've certainly been growing on me.

My camera took a dive a couple of months ago, it was one of those things that I saw happening the entire way down but my reaction time was way too slow to catch it. The sound of the camera hitting the ground is the worst and then all you can think is, "ok what's the damage."

On the upside, I guess you have an excuse to get a new camera now!

I've had the same photo from Mr. Newton on my desktop for a good week now!! I love her hair too! I'm hoping mine will grow fast! (**fingers crossed**)

And the swedish hasbeens are definitely growing on me! I got a natural-colored sandal pair for summer, but the brown and black ones look oh so tempting for fall!!

I'm not convinced about clogs either. They ARE growing on me, but...slowly. Karl Lagerfeld (and people in big cities) must not encounter as many Crocs as the avg American. It definitely takes an adjustment to see anything resembling that Croc shape and not want to vomit...let alone want to wear it!

growing out my hair has been a verrrrry looooong and painful process. I also stopped dying it awhile back. It's interesting to see what my natural color is! I thought it was blondish but I think it's more brownish. Suppose I'm feeling pretty lucky that the ombre hair is trending right now. That way people don't think I have ugly grow out hair... they probably think I colored it that way on purpose!
