This afternoon Tom and I headed out for a little walk around our neighborhood. Even though we've lived here for nearly a year, there are still out of the way places we're still discovering. A friend told us about a hand made furniture warehouse just a couple of block from us that we'd never heard of before and we wanted to check it out. It turned out to be really great! It was an old tobacco warehouse that had been converted into a business with living space up above. I love those kinds of spaces where the light pours in through big warehouse windows!

4

Today was also the first day I've ventured out of the house in my new Swedish Hasbeens. Even though I've seen them on other gals on street style sites and always love the way they look, I wasn't convinced I'd like them on me. I still think I'll like them better in the fall with tights.

And I've saved the best part for last! Kristen from Kdikio Vintage was sweet enough to send this beautiful vintage rose cameo brooch to me for a giveaway! It's a really lovely piece and perfect for wearing on a blazer or jacket to class up any outfit. Even better, it has a little loop on the back so you can string it onto a chain and wear it as a necklace as well.

If you'd like a chance to call it your own, just click over the Kdikio Vintage and have a look around. Then leave a comment on my blog letting Kristen know what you see in her shop that catches your eye. I'll pick the lucky winner in a week!

And a quick congratulations to Eliza from Mess Your Hair Up for winning the Yellow Birdd Giveaway!

The floral broaches are so beautiful!

Swedish Hasbeens seem to be pretty popular right now, but everyone wears them so differently that it's fun to see how well they go with so many different styles. Very cute!

And I lock the Lock it Up necklace.

Hi Kristen and Sally Jane,

I like the brass ruffle necklace - it looks like it would be equally at home paired with a gallery going outfit with an abstract print tunic or a summery pale pink dress.

My favourite is the one you are giving away! I have been looking for one like that for ages. It looks very wellmade.

And there´s so many beautiful things in the shop, too. The madagascan butterfly reminds me so much of one my mother had. And the dino scarf is so cute.

I love the pin! So pretty. I too have admired the Hasbeens and wondered if they would look good on me. They are so expensive though. On Kdikio Vintage, I really like the Madagascan Sunset Moth pin, because I love butterflies and lots of color.

Great outfit, has a kind of 90's vibe to it. And that bond street bag is the best. I love brooches that can be necklaces, they go with everything. My favourite piece in the store is the straw 'third eye' bangle.

I like Kdikio's Cleo necklace. It's not my normal style so it would be fun to work it into my wardrobe! Thanks for the giveaway. Annie.

I love the Lives of Tulips' Past scarf! It reminds me of the ever so popular Miu Miu prints.

The heaviness of the shoe goes really well with the lightness of the dress, the short sleeves and color of the jacket. Looks right. I thought these shoes looked interesting when I started seeing them, too but for my personal style Im not sure I can do anything with them. Youre the first person I thought they looked good on.

Cute shop! I adore the Confetti Funfetti earrings.
