I'm running wild with the one I love...

a

- 70s cotton dress
- 80s flats
- newly thrifted hat and purse
- listening to: Television - Marquis Moon "See No Evil"

Untitled-1

Being down in the country with no internet access was certainly refreshing. However, it also pointed out just how reliant I am on have instant information. Whenever a question pops up that Tom or I don't know the answer to we, of course, Google it! Several times during my trip a question would pop into my head and I'd want to know the answer right now. Well, there was no "right now" to be had. Patience is a virtue! Instead, I ended up with a rather silly list of things to Google once I got back to internet-land.
  • Can I grow black beans in Pennsylvania?
  • Is the full moon on the same date all over the world?
  • Where can I buy Lady Liberty overalls?
  • What is the history of kudzu?
  • Can I make my own seitan?
  • Is Jame Franco really on General Hospital?
  • What is a basking shark?
Now you know the innermost workings of my mind!

Such romantic photos!
I hate not having internet access occasionally and not being able to find the answers. Of course, it's a good thing you kept all those in mind -- sometimes I forget what was perplexing me by the time I reach a computer.
PS James Franco was really on GH, but in this really satirical performance art role. You should Youtube some of his scenes because they are pretty funny. :)

ohhhh my gosh my fiance and i had the exact same situation, except we were even worse - we'd be on the train going home and want to know something NOW, the result of which being that we both got blackberries...
we call them our googlephones!
my list got written down in my notebook in my bag, and was mostly focused on the history of things we passed in london and vague ideas about things i wanted to buy.

I love the photos! You "look like the house". Wet hair suits you, I'm awful like that.

That dress is SO cute! Love the cut and that it is vintage cotton.

I always make Googling lists when I'm away from the computer too. Ha! How did we ever survive without it?

sIn regard to making your own seitan, the Vegan with a Vengeance cookbook has a really great recipe. Some seitan I've tried is really too salty, but that one is perfect.

It's funny the random questions we need answers for in our day to day lives isn't it. Wonderful location, I love the colour of your hat/purse against the colour of that perfectly dilapidated old building's roof.

Is this the hat you got at J&J?

I've been looking for a hat that big and that floppy for a while now! Looks great on you.

It's funny how dependent we become on technology and how hard it is to 'unplug' our minds. It can be really refreshing though.

and Yes James Franco is on a Soap! ha

James Franco really is on General Hospital! My mum is addicted to that show and she always tells me about it. She thinks that Mr. Franco is trying to hard and that he should calm down.

i LOVE this dress... and with the thin belt!

and as for the internet break... it's weird how we've become to depend on it, isn't it? it still trips me out that i only really got an email address in college, and even then the internet wasn't really that popular. eeek- that makes me feel old!
