My dreams would change over centuries...

Today I'm heading back home to Pennsylvania. What a wonderful week I've had! Being away from the internet every once in a while does a gal good, ya know?

I always wonder if I'll have a hard time adjusting to being back in the South, but before I knew it I was breathing the humid air and droppin' my g's just like I'd never left. This trip was filled with spendin' time with family, pickin' peas and beans in the garden, eating said peas and beans for dinner, antique huntin' and just generally layin' around. Pretty much heaven!

These photos were snapped on Saturday afternoon (I think - the days all sort of ran together) just before a thunderstorm came rolling through. There are two creeks that run through my parents property and it's one of my favorite spots. There are always lots of animal tracks to inspect along the banks and we've always got our eyes peeled for the occasional arrowhead that will wash up after a rain.

You always have such beautiful photos, but I these are some of my favourite. That dress is lovely and that first image on the swing is just perfect. I like the blured one too, reminds me of francesca woodman.

Don't worry, its been PLENTY hot in PA too! Probably not quite as humid as down South, but still pretty bad! Have a safe trip back! :)

The third picture is a bit creepy, but so beautiful. It makes me think of Francesca Woodman's work...

I really love the bodice of the dress, your willowy shape truly does it justice. I also love how the photos were taken in very beautiful surroundings. The unkempt woods go perfectly with the mood of the shoot. :)

I can almost hear some ancients blues playing on a scratchy record when I see your pics. The last one just moves me. Like from a movie still.

this dress/photo location are both unbelievably perfect and such a great representation of the south. isn't the humidity a bitch though? it's hard to watch all these east coast girls in tights and cardis when i'm suffocating from the swampy weather of the south.
