Can you say heat wave? I know, I know. It's so mundane to talk about the weather. But when it's reaching 100 degrees everyday it's sort of hard not to. It's also sort of hard to even think about getting dressed in the morning. This outfit is bordering on mundane too, but this is all I could muster putting on when I knew I was already going to be sweating at eight in the morning. You can bet that my hair (which is driving me crazy right now anyway) was pulled up and off my neck right after these photos were taken.
On a happier note, I really love these Jeffrey Campbell shoes that I just got from Modcloth. As soon as I got them, I switched out the stiffer leather laces for a pair that I found in one of those odds-n-ends one dollar grab bags you find at the thrift store. Much better! They're my favorite new shoes and I'm liking the modern edge they're giving to my vintage dresses.

I don't think you look mundane at all, I'm sure your 'mundane' is many people's best! I love your shoes, I think it looks great when people toughen up vintage dresses with modern shoes!

You have the prettiest dresses from UO but I can never find them on the site.
I have a favorite pair of vintage boots with really delicate leather laces. Perhaps it is time I switch them up too :)

I know what you mean..it's the same over here. And while it's nice to have a few days of summer I kind of wish for some colder days..seriously, all you can do is staying in the shade all the time!

ahhh, talking about the weather is fascinating! i don't know where that cliche comes from, everyone does it.
the colours in the photo look HOT, temperature-wise! that really deep yellow-orange that happens when even the air around you is warm...
