I'd rather be blue than to be all alone...

I thought I'd give the whole high-waisted-pleated-pants thing a go. It wasn't too bad! They were actually quite comfortable. Since it was something I wasn't sure about, I went the cheapo route and bought a pair at the thrift store. I just cut them off a bit at the bottom and ironed a cuff into the bottom.

Someone commented the other day that my beret is back. The cooler weather we've been having certainly warrants wearing a hat, but truth be told it's less of a fashion accessory these days as it is a clever way of covering up all of my roots that are growing in. The hair growing out process is in full swing and I'm still not sure how I feel about it. I know I'm going to let the bangs grow out but I'll have to see how I feel about the color (I think it's going to be a dark blond - we'll see!). I haven't dyed it in months and it's turned sort of an orangy shade. And yes, I know it matches my shoes. Completely unintentionally!

Wow, I can't believe how long your bangs are! They look great. All that patience paid off. :) (cute jumping picture, too!)

aw, these photos are so cute! el cheapo is the only way to go with pants like that; they're so cute. they sort of remind me of a pictorial article I was just looking at on Fashionising.com about sophisticated 70's looks being 'in' this fall. i think those pants will certainly come in handy (and maybe a pair of wide legs too!).

that last photo? amazing. you don't even look so much like you're jumping as you look like you're suspended in mid-air!

I love your last photo! So lovely and fun, and your shoes are just darling. I'm especially impressed you managed to pull off the shear tank without looking erm... overexposed? It looks fantastic on you, and shows just enough.

I love this style so much! With this basco you look like Bonnie (better without Clyde, of course)

Oh the pants look great! I went thrifting the other day and found a perfect grey pair and oddly enough they were from Old Navy of all places??wtf? I mean, they were everything I needed: high waisted, pleated, slim leg, cuffed. But Old Navy, really? Oh well they were on the .50$ rack so I had to get them.

Good luck with the great hair debate! I'm pledging to stop dying mine for the next year! We'll see how that one goes.

I love the contrast of light and sheer with the heaviness of the pants.

I love your hair color, I'm jealous! I wish I could dye my hair but it doesn't like to hold onto color so it always ends up looking terrible. I do think you'd look lovely as a dark blonde though! Can't wait to see the new color.

I love your beret! I have one glued to my head during winter and on bad hair days too. Those pants look lovely on you, and that last shot is just amazing.
