Did you all have a wonderful New Year's Eve? Mine was lovely and low key with midnight being celebrated with a couple of gal pals and a bottle of champagne. I can hardly believe another year has come and gone. I don't really do New Year's resolutions so I think instead I'll make a list of thing to accomplish this year... things like take a class to learn something new (knitting maybe?), read a book a month (I already have one picked for January), take a trip back to Los Angeles (tickets have been purchased!) and sew a dress that I actually want to wear (unlike the ones that are usually disasters).

b

By the way, can you tell this outfit was completely inspired by the "Babes in the Woods" editorial I posted the other day. The photos reminded me that I had this J.Crew dress I found at a thrift store languishing in the "to-be-sewn" pile next to my desk. I finally felt motivated to break out the sewing machine and give it a couple of tweaks and now it's perfect.

That's such a beautiful dress and I love the coat you paired it with. Sounds like you've got a good year planned out for yourself. What's your January book, out of interest? Happy new year!

Love this outfit! The picture of you looking over the fence somehow reminds me of The Sound of Music when Maria's going to the VonTrapp's house for this first time singing 'Confidence'. Wonderful!

I love those weird little flowers behind you!

Also, whatever you've got on your lips is such a perfect color! I've been looking for something a bit more toned-down, but so far, I can't keep my hands off the colors.

Happy new year!

Adorable outfit. I don't know how, but to me the whole camel winter trend is turning into a huge need of spring :) I just can't wait to walk around with a cream color trench and beige shoes! I guess it's those flower's fault ;)
Have a wonderful new year Jennifer!
