I couldn't resist posting a few of the images from the new Mayflower Supply Co. fall lookbook.  It's such a huge and admirable undertaking to open a new online shop.  I wish these lovely ladies all the best of luck!  If the first set of images is any indication, they're going to do just fine! 

Mazzy Star

Last week Tom and I headed to Union Transfer in Philadelphia to see Mazzy Star.  I spent countless hours in my late teens and early twenties listening to Hope Sandoval's voice and tambourine.  I never had the chance to see them live back then so I was really excited to finally experience some of my favorite songs in a live setting. While I am glad that we went, I have to say that the show overall was a bit of a letdown.  After all these years, the band really had no stage presence and the performance seemed a bit half-hearted.  I'd read that Hope tends to be really shy onstage and she lived up that, barely lifting her head and never addressing the crowd.  I was hoping for more, but I am happy that I can checking seeing Mazzy Star live off of my list.

Etsy Update: Odds & Ends

I usually try to add things to the Etsy shop in a somewhat organized fashion - grouped by color, or style or era.  But I always end up with a pile of lovely things that didn't quite fit into one of my categories.  So... this is what you have today!  All the odds and ends that I've wanted to add to the shop, but have been waiting for the perfect moment.  Why wait?  All seen here are now available in the shop...

Boots & Pine: Emily Theobald

I love these photos of Emily Theobald (of It Girl Rag Doll) on Boots & Pine.  She's got that Brooklyn bohemian vibe down!  I remember Emily as one of the first gals I noticed back in the early days of Wardrobe Remix (remember that?!).  Now I see her popping up all over the place;  from Refinery 29 hair tutorials to the Mayflower Supply Co lookbook that Erin posted yesterday.

The Autumn/Winter collection for Rossapina Vintage features garments designed by Ale and handmade by her mother using vintage fabrics from her grandmother's stash.  I love the family connection! The lookbook shows off each look against a backdrop of perfectly hued autumn leaves.  Doesn't it make you want to hear the leaves crunching under your feet?!
