Here are a few of the items I've picked up over the last couple of weeks that have made their way into my closet.
- This dusty rose cashmere sweater is probably the most luxurious piece I've ever found. It's so super soft and lined in silky lace. The front clasp is a beautiful rhinestone pin and it has little matching rhinestones on the sleeve cuffs. I'm still torn over the fur collar. I would never, ever buy new fur and abhor the fur industry as a whole but it always seems a shame to let vintage pieces go to waste. The collar is actually removable so if I can't deal with the fur, I can always just remove it and still have an amazing cashmere sweater.
- Next is this fitted tweed skirt. I can't even begin to tell you how heavy this skirt is. I had a hard time even keeping it clasped into the hanger to take the photo. It's going to be perfect once the weather really gets cold.
- I'm loving capes at the moment and this one is no exception. It's a nice, delicate alternative to the heavier ones I've been finding.
- My love of hats is only growing stronger by the day. This one is black velvet with a tiny little bow on the side and fine netting that can be pinned up with my hair.
- As soon as I saw this strange little headband I was head over heels. It's black velvet with netting that hangs over my eyes and a horse hair decoration on the side.
- Amongst all of these pretty, feminine finds is a pair of perfectly beat up, broken in Doc Martens. These take me back to high school (yes, I'm that old!). I'm not sure if I'll be able to pull these off with dresses but I've already been enjoying wearing them with my skinny jeans.

Everything is so lovely! I think everyone should own a pair of Doc Martens! Also, please may I have that sweater? Lol...just kidding! :o)
OOOO, I am in love with this cape. It is so feminine and looks amazing.
I would love to see how you wear your docs, post pictures please.
OMG I have that exact same cashmere cardy ! mine is cream but otherwise identical, I get so many compliments whenever I wear it and it's incredibly soft and cosy. Enjoy !
that hats are fab! great finds overall!
that cap and sweater with the rhinestones are just divine!
wow! you've found such unique pieces ... esp the cashmere sweater and cape!
i really want a cardigan like that first one, but i'm with you as i'm completely against fur. i have been searching for ages for one with fake fur, but have not found one yet!
What treasures! I love that cardigan and headband especially... though that cape is just too sweet! :)
Ha, I had an awesome pair of Docs my senior year. I wore them with everything!
Nice finds! I love the little capelet especially, perfect for those not-too-cold fall days.
Oooh, I can't wait to see how you style the cape! Sometimes I see some like those in thrift stores and love the way they look, but get scared at the idea of putting them in an outfit.
And I just found a fur trimmed cardigan a lot like that this week! Except mine is fake fur and not cashmere. Yours takes the prize!
Gahhhh, perfect Docs.
you are such a good thrifter, you know that?
that first peace is so lovely, i would want that in a second. like that colar.
Oh I Love that cape!!
If you're old then I am old AND a pack-rat because I still own my high school doc martens.
BTW I love that cashmere sweater, its ten kinds of perfect.
That first cardigan is just beautiful! I bought a pair of Docs on ebay a few months ago and I still haven't found a way to wear them. I really love them but I just don't think they're working for me - can't wait to see how you style yours, maybe I'll get some ideas!
so lovely items for your closet.
i'm so glad i won your red polka dot dress the other day, i can't wait to wear it.

hi i love your blog!
is it okay i got you in my link-list?
cape love and boot envy. :-) lol
These are all great! I actually just found a sweater that is exactly the same as yours except it is all black. I think vintage fur is acceptable behavior.
