Lately it seems that a lot of people have been asking me the question, "do you like living in Lancaster?". This question is usually followed by an incredulous look and raised eyebrows as if any answer I give other than "no" will be met with utmost skepticism. The truth is, I really do like living here. One of the things I most enjoy is walking around the city and soaking in all of the historic buildings and landmarks. Yesterday Tom and I walked downtown and stopped into Central Market, the oldest still-functioning farmer's market in the States. It's always packed with people and brimming with fresh veggies and fruits from the surrounding farms. Then after market we stopped into Charles Demuth's home, now a museum, and enjoyed a new exhibit and sat in the garden soaking up the sun. It was such a lovely afternoon and all within walking distance of our place. So, while I do miss 24 hour Thai food joints, being able to drive into the desert and Sunday flea markets I don't have any regrets about relocating from LA to PA.

I love the dress, the sunglasses are to die for but most of all I'm in awe with the braids :-)
lovely dress and the tattoo too!
you look so nice in braids!
lovely dress and cute braids x
I absolutely agree with you about historic sites. I love to walk on the old streets of my hometown and stare at the old houses and imagine how it must have been in the past:-)
really, really groovy photos :]]
wow who knew that lovely feminine dress was from h&m, the tunnel shots are great!
I'm in the phase of my life where I cannot imagine living anywhere but a city, but every so often I realize how exhausting and claustrophobic it can get. I love those 24 hour restaurants, always something new to do, and amount of people, but sometimes it just makes me want to take a nice long nap and go run in a field or something haha. I am slowly starting to see the perks of a smalltown- an actual community, reveling in simpler smaller things to do instead of grandiose events daily, and actually having some peace and quiet. my cousins live in Lancaster, and I must say after your lovely posts and photos I might want to go back.
What a pretty dress, and it fits you perfectly! I rocked my hair like yours a couple days ago and enjoyed it, the look looks great on you lady!

Wow! These pictures are great! And you look so nice in this outfit. I love everything!
I definatly agree with seeing all the historic sites and atmosphere. I grew up about a 45 minute drive away from lancaster, and my mom would take me to visit there all the time. Seeing all your blog pictures bring back happy childhood memories, (and I love your h&m dress, by the way), its nice to see that someone else would rather be in a small town than out in the big cities.
I tried that dress on not long ago at H&M! It's quite the lovely! You look wonderful in it. I also love smaller towns in the country. From where I lived in Maine to where I am now in Maryland there is quite the difference. I have to say this small MD town I'm in now is so much more charming! :o)
That dress is absolute perfection on you!
wow, i love your hair this way! and i am so inspired to try gray/brown now, too :) i especially love the last photo with the gate, very pretty!
That dress looks lovely.
Gosh I wish we had H&M in NZ!
I love all the pretty places you take photos - small towns all the way!
These is my new favorite set of yours, and I have so many already! Gorgeous shots and dress :) (love the hair too!)
I have to say - I am a big fan of Mastodon and their new album is awesome!!
You look so cute!
I just got back from a trip to Philly, and on the way home to Pittsburgh I stopped in Lancaster.I am planning on going to grad school for historic preservation...that said, I was a kid in a candy store in Lancaster. Its a wonderful town! I'd like to go back for a longer stay.
Such a sweet dress. I love the photos too.

it looks like you live in a beautiful place.
love your dress!
When we backpacked the US we made a (long and slightly scary) trip esp to Lancaster, just so we could go visit Bird in hand! I have great memories of staying there, esp of the girl in the info centre, who was seriously concerned that two New Zealand girls would travel on their own around America, and then actually WANT to come to Lancaster!
I've contemplated getting that dress. But it looks wonderful on you. you really accessorized it perfectly!!!Those photos are amazing.
Your dress is very beautiful. As are these photos!
Gorgeous! I loved this blog :0)
