This week's photography spotlight comes from Australia's
Justice & Police Museum. The museum is home to a vast negative archive documenting the early years of Sydney's unruly waterfront. I can't help but imagine the stories of these people's lives. There's something about their unflinching gazes that is so haunting.

Very haunting. Great pics!
these are incredible, the last one, and those three ladies, and those three men, and mrs. osbourne--okay, they're all amazing.
These are gorgeous photos. What a wonderful find, and such inspiration!
I just love seeing old photos like these! I think about who these people were and what they were thinking about when the photo was taken...
I love this old photography. It is always so real.
So hauntingly beautiful! I wish there was more information on the people, like what they got arrested for in the first place
I am speechless. extraordinary pictures.
Incredible photography! Do you have a link to where you found these images? I've been on the site but can't find any images. These are stunning, as a photographer I thank you for sharing.
I just want to step back in time and walk by, these are mesmerising.
