I feel like it's taken forever but tomorrow is finally the big day! I have lots of pretty spring items all ready to be listed in the Etsy shop. I've been looking forward to blue skies and green grass and that's what inspired this first little collection. It's been so long since I tried on each piece as I photograph them that I daresay it was almost fun. There was a time when I thought my head would explode if I had to press the self-timer button on my camera ONE. MORE. TIME.
The only bad thing is, when I try things on for the shop rather than just put them on the dress form, I'm way more tempted to keep some of them! I was very good this time and even though several pieces tempted me only one made it to my closet. It's a Levi's chambray shirt and the tag inside says it was made for the 1980 Olympic Games. How could I resist?
Anyhoo... I joked with Tom that I was going to title this blog post "Damn, ho!" because that's what a couple of teenage (?) boys yelled at me as we were taking these photos. I was naturally offended but then Tom explained to me that it was meant as a compliment rather than an insult. Um, thank you? My evil revenge is photoshopping them out of the background!
A few notes about this outfit: I think this is the first time since I can remember that you've seen a photo of me without a hat on! The hair-growing-out makes it difficult to leave the house without one. This Irish lace blouse is one of several pretty lacy things I've picked up for spring. I'm super excited about white lacy things for spring. The color of these AA tights is "cappuccino". I thought they were going to be more brown than they are. When I put them on I was afraid they made me look like I had a really bad spray tan on my legs but I ended up sort of liking the way they perfectly match my shoes. Random!

Haha, "damn ho!" I cant believe that. I would of been offended too. But seriously damn 'girl' instead of ho, you look hot in this outfit. Those shoes are amazing and so are those tights!! I have always wanted those tights from AA but I wasnt too sure about the color. I love them on you! Gorgeous.
Such a sweet outfit! Love the blouse very much :)
Dang it girl, put those legs away, you're makin' me jealous!
You are so, so beautiful in these photos. I'm not surprised that you received compliments from those boys, even if they could have used a little more gentleness :)
Absolutely lovely outfit.

Gorgeous photos! I love the lace top and cardi, just beautiful!
I was going to say, I loved how your tights perfectly matched your shoes! That blouse is so so pretty, too. I'm sort of excited lace is "in" right now, so I can stock up ;)
Holy cow, your legs are the best!
I'm impressed you managed to walk in those beautiful Topshop shoes. I loved them but never got a pair because everyone said they were hell on your feet.

You legs look a million miles long in these photos!! Very cute!! And I'm jealous that you have such a pretty, and old, lace top!
haha, love that compliment you received! my first thought? geez woman, you've got legs for days! (so jealous of your long limbs!)
and your hair is looking fabulous!
You got gams, girl!

cute outfit. i love the lace top & those tights, i've never seen that color before.
Your legs!!! Wow - In that first shot they go on for days!! I guess that funny shade of brown is doing something good?
PJ Harvey!!! :)
I love the lace top, my mother recently gave me a piece of home made lace from Ireland that she found at an antique shop. there's just something so nice about lace!

Love the top and how you styled the whole outfit. I'm loving PJ's latest as well too. I was so excited about it, I did a post not too long ago and put a link to a live concert of the new material. She is definitely one of my all-time faves!
You. Have perfect legs. And I adore that lace blouse. Beautiful dang photography too! "Damn ho!" is right!!
Your legs DO look amazing in these pics and everyone else has commented exactly what I was thinking! As for the boys, I don't know why men feel they have any right to make really quite personal comments about a woman's appearance. It's like the whole wolf-whistling thing, why would anyone feel it was ok to whistle down a complete stranger in the street as though their approval is desired! Makes me so cross! xx
I agree with Steffy, you have great legs...no wonder they elicited a "damn, ho!" haha!! As always, I love your outfit (that lace top is so pretty), and I'm really looking forward to your spring shop updates!
Ohhhh that blouse and those SHOES! Lovely photos and such a pretty look.

before i read the "damn, ho!" story i was definitely going to comment that those are some hot shorts! apparently i am not the only one who thinks so... :)
Your legs are a thousand miles long! Beautiful.
Absolutely love the outfit!
Great blog :)
Vintage Rocks!
Your legs DO go on forever! Love love love the weird brown colour of the tights - makes the outfit, for me. Yay.
It looks so SPRING! There are just few signs of coming spring behind my window.
Your legs looks endless :)
Love this! So perfect for spring.
Very cute look! I am not the greatest at styling shorts and am always looking for inspiration.

your hair has been growing so nicely though. I like it down like this without a hat but you are so the beret lady!! hehe. Love the outfit on you. I enjoyed seeing all the pieces in your shop. My sons actually chose what they could see me in, so I added a couple to my favorites based off of that. The 4 year old said, "that's one you'd wear Mommy!" and the 2 year old said, "yeah!!! that one!"
love this!! <3
Love this outfit!! :D Nice blog ;)

OH This outfit is so pretty! I especially love those tights!
And gosh darn teenage boys... Let's at the very least say that they were trying to compliment you...but are not very good at expressing themselves. =)
