Found: Those Boots!

Previously I posted about seeing the perfect pair of boots on a fabulously cool, completely unapproachable girl at a vintage sale. My internet search turned up lots of similar boots, but none were the perfect three buckle boots I had my heart set on. Well, it's a small world because this morning our store's window decorator showed up wearing THE boots. I was all over her in about two seconds. What kind of boots are those? Where did you get them? And most importantly (and admittedly tacky) how much were they? So here's the scoop. My dream boots are by Fiorentini + Baker. They are handmade in Italy (that pretty much answers the "how much are they" question). She snagged her pair from Barney's - a store I've never even been in. An internet search showed the price to range from $485 to $530 depending on where you buy them. Ouch!

I am not a fan of this kind of boots, but I must admit these ones are pretty cool.

Oh my gosh, I don't really like boots but I am totally digging those. If only they weren't completely unattainable.

Dr. Martens makes a very similar pair. Here's a link to a photo of them on zappos:

I've got them in tan, and they're actually much cuter in person than in the photo.

Sure, there are boots that *look* like the Fiorentini + Baker boot, but they cannot match the quality of leather and construction you get with the real thing. The price is high, but they are SO worth it. Ped Shoes is where I like to buy F+B because they offer GREAT customer service (and if you're going to spend that much money, you may as well get great service).

I have a pair of the men's version. 2 strap, slightly shorter. Most comfortable shoes I may have ever worn, they're soft and pliable from the moment you own them.
