What I'm Wearing

Untitled-2

blouse: H&M
sweater: vintage
skirt: vintage (altered by me)
tights: American Apparel
shoes: vintage
purse: vintage
headband: vintage

Here are a couple of my recent vintage finds in action. This sweater is simply the softest thing I've ever touched and it was perfect for today's cooler weather. I was inspired to try a new skirt length by Effie. She always looks flawless in those to-the-knee skirts and dresses so when I shortened this one, I just took it up to the knee instead of my usual mid-thigh length. I felt quite lady-like and proper wearing this.

You look so glamorous! I hope you don't find wearing the fur a problem because it is simply stunning. And as I commented on last outfit post - really liking the longer skirt legths!

You're the sweetest! That skirt length is wonderful on you! I really love how you've paired the skirt and the cardigan together - I have a few of those fur collared cardigans and I never wear them in the day time because I feel way too over the top and prissy - but you've done it just right!!!!

I love that sweater - so classic and fall-like. And the longer hem suits you! Although I do admire how you can wear mid-thigh dresses, I feel horribly uncomfortable in them.

Amazing, amazing. The sweater looks fantastic on you, and the new length skirt does too. It feels odd wearing longer skirts after wearing short ones for so long, but a change is as good as a holiday (almost!)

I've always been struck by the old-world glamour of fur collars. They put me in mind of old films like Sunset Boulevard and All About Eve and their heroines. You pull of the look wonderfully!

Sally Jane, I really love your blog, and you look simply gorgeous in pretty much every one of your pictures. And I also wanted to say that I'm really inspired that I've found a style icon that is also vegetarian! I have similar opinions to you about second hand leather, and it's good to see someone who has a conscience about shopping looking so incredible all the time.
