I've spent the morning fawning over the items in
Vain & Vapid's "sold items" on Etsy, in particular the Cecilia Lisbon dress. That's one of the things I love and hate about Etsy; you can spend way too much time looking through shops' sold items and lamenting the things you've missed out on. This one in particular is breakin' my heart. How many ways is it perfect? Let's see. Is it all floaty and airy with a ruffle detail, criss-crossed in the back and named after a character from The Virgin Suicides? Check, check, and check.

Haha that's so funny, a few hours ago I was doing the exact same thing, moping over the disappearance of this dress.... ahhh
btw Jen, I bought a black wool skirt off your ebay shop a long time ago now and just to let you know, I have worn it so much! I love it...so thanks again! =)
Oh I love her dresses! I was just fawning over your sold items...lol! :o)
I "hate" etsy sold items too.
that really is a shame. but she's planning on making more! there's still hope!
What a gorgeous dress! I love the criss-crossed back! It adds a little sex-appeal to the more romantic/ girlish style.
But there still seems to be a chance to buy the Cecilia Lisbon Dress. As one can read in the shop announcements of Vain and Vapid, the Cecilia Lisbon Dress will be sold again when it gets warmer.
oh interesting ?
is it Lux?
Such a beautiful dress, especially the back! I, too, wallow in the sorrow of sold items on Etsy =(.
Oh dear, another incredible etsy shop for me to spend all my money on. At least she's planning to make more of the dresses.
She always sells out too quickly!
Oh, that back makes the dress that much more better!
I WISH she would update the shop, I love everything she makes so much.
I never want to look through those sold items, that's just too cruel! :)
so pretty! and i love that little jean jacket thrown over the dress.
It is a lovely dress... and I love that you troll the sold items and torture yourself!
i am madly in love with this dress! i really do hope she makes some more!!!
the back of the dress is sooo cute

Aw, I know what you mean :( At least you can have hope that another may be in the vast cosmos somewhere... or attempt to make yourself! The dress seems fairly simple.
I could not agree with you more! The amount of time I have spent pouring over images of beautiful dresses that now belong to a lucky owner is just silly. I like to rationalize by saying that at least I can observe how they accessorized it or that I have now memorized the dress to the point where if I come across one just like it I'll jump on the chance to buy it. lol.
