Remember the promise as a kid you made...

It seems to be becoming a bit of a habit for us lately... going to ride ferris wheels and such while having terrible carnival food like nachos and cheese and funnel cakes for dinner. This time it was on a much smaller scale as we attended a local high school's annual summer carnival. It was a beautiful evening and I think we were just looking for a good excuse to get out of the house!

Thanks ladies!

Ha,ha! I never really thought about it, but I guess funnel cakes are an American treat. It's basically just fried dough covered in powered sugar. Very bad for you but oh-so-yummy! They call them funnel cakes because you put the batter in a funnel and then let it run into the hot oil creating long ribbons of fried dough.

aww. I love zeppoles more than funnel cake (since they are softer). It is so interesting how some things are in certain areas of the country that aren't in the other. That's pretty cool. Have you had zeppoles? I think they make them in PA. great shots!

mmm....funnel cakes! I get my funnel cake fix from baseball games. The carnies scare me a bit...hehehe..so I avoid carnivals.

You look very pretty in your dress. I am totally in love with the tapestry bag.

Our local carnival just opened last night and these pictures make me even more excited to go!

When I was a kid, my best bud and I promised we'd buy a warehouse and turn it into a playhouse for fun and creative spirits. *sigh* it didn't seem so out of reach back then.
