Cold and Grey

018

- Kate Moss for Topshop cape
- Fletcher for Lyell shorts
- H&M top
- H&M knit tights
- Jeffrey Campbell boots
- vintage fur muff (that doubles as a purse!)
- vintage wool beret

Thanks again for all of the well wishes over the last week. I'm finally back on my feet and feeling like myself. Yesterday I made it to two different thrift stores and came home with a couple of bags of spring and summer clothes that I'll have to put away for a few weeks until it's time to do a makeover on the shop! I have to admit I'm pretty excited for that. Otherwise, it's so cold and grey I haven't felt like getting out too much... although today I'm heading out to eat pho soup for lunch. Mmmm! Just the thing to cheer me up when I'm chilled to the bone.

Winter is such a hard time to get out and do things sometimes. But I really enjoy how you used vintage pieces in your wintry outfit. Looks great!

I absolutely have to have a muff! When I was a little girl...my mother bought one for me. It was black and had a little silver chain...but alas...I hated it. No one else had one and I was embarrassed :-(. Oh how I wish I still had it :-). Gonna have to remedy that!

I absolutely love that there's grey, black and brown all together here. Especially the tights with the boots!

I love your cape, I must have missed that from the Kate Moss range!
Fur muffs are brilliant, but I always feel a bit silly wearing mine. They're pretty easy to make as well!

Beautiful! Grey and mustard work perfect together! And that muff - so beautiful and utilitarian simultaneously! And the silhouette!

pho is JUST the thing when you're feeling under the weather. perfect for gray days, colds, and hangovers. seriously, that stuff is magic.

I LOVE your boots and fur muff. I really like the grey tights too, they're like the perfect shade.

Fur/Fauz Fur is so classic. I use to have a faux fur white jacket, it was a bit small but still wearable. I thought I wasn't gonna wear it anymore so I put it out during a garage sale my parents had. I think I went away for 2 minutes and regretted it so I went back to get it and sure enough by then the jacket was sold.

I've been reading all these Little House on the Prairie books lately and you having a muff in your hand just adds to the love of it.
