Inspiration for today's outfit was shamelessly stolen from Miss Woo of Cheapskate Chic. I love the line of faux-leather jackets that H&M has been producing for the last year. I remember the first faux jacket I bought back in the nineties - it was so stiff and it squeaked everytime I moved or bent my arms. We've come a long way baby!

What I'm Wearing
Grunge Looks
Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang, Ann Demeulemeester, Balmain, Burberry Prorsum, Topshop Unique
As much as I love the girly, floral looks that are present on the runway, I'm also partial to the grunge and punk inspired looks. Fashion is truly cyclical and after all the eighties throw-back looks in the past few year, it's only natural for grunge to be the next big thing to come back. Being a teen of the nineties myself I think I'm predisposed to loving these looks.

What I'm Wearing
shirt: The Row
vest: H&M
cut-offs: vintage
tights: H&M
shoes: Urban Outfitters
hat: Undercover
I rifled through my closet to see what I could come up with to put together an Alexander Wang inspired outfit and this is what I came up with. Also, my new boots from UO arrived yesterday and I couldn't be happier with them. I don't usually wear heels at all but these are super comfy and easy to walk in. I'm sure you'll be seeing a lot of them.

More Shoes!
I ventured out into the cold today to check out another Goodwill store in the area. I was hoping to come home with bags of clothes for the store and maybe a find or two for myself. The Goodwill is located close to the outlet malls right outside of town and they must have some sort of deal worked out with them. The store was mostly populated with Gap and Banana Republic cast offs from two seasons ago. That's great for some people, but not exactly what I was looking for. I even came up empty handed in the discount bin section. The only thing I ended up buying was this pair of brown leather oxfords. They are in my size, but I think they'll end up in the store as the last thing I need is another pair of shoes!
What I'm Wearing
sweater: Urban Outfitters
jeans: Superfine
lef warmers: Urban Outfitters
boots: vintage
I've finally started looking through the fall/winter fashion show pictures and while I love all the florals & pastels and the girly dresses and tights, I've been really been taken by Alexander Wang's grungy looks in black, greys and white. I'll be going through my closet to see what I can pull together to mimic some of his looks. More on that later...

Wolf T-Shirt
After spending part of my weekend at a wolf rescue and sanctuary 0bserving these amazing animals, I was inspired to search for one of those cheesy, touristy wolf t-shirts that you see on biker types. There are lots of places out there on the internet that sell them but I imagine those are the kind of t-shirt prints that are thick and stiff and I know I would never actually wear it. I also found these, one from Urban Outfitters and the other on Ebay. I was really hoping to find an old, vintage one that's broken in to perfection but no luck there!

Little Print Dresses
DKNY, Erin Fetherston, Jayson Brunsdon, Joanna Mastroianni, Project Runway, Anna Sui, Tibi, Temperly London
One of my favorite looks that has been consistent on the runways for the Fall/Winter shows are little print mini dresses. Hopefully that means they'll be easy to find in store next fall.
Four Ways - Ethnic Print Dress
With spring fast approaching one of my wardrobe "must haves" was a little cotton ethnic print dress. Since I can't wait until the weather warms up to wear it, I've found ways to layer until I can wear it on its own.
- First I've layered the dress over a white tee and grey skinny jeans. Pair with some vintage boots and a big crocheted scarf and you're ready for those chilly pre-spring days.
- For another cool weather option you can layer over a pair of tights and boots with a shrunken sweater.
- When the weather starts to warm pair the dress with a vintage vest, over-the-knee socks and a pair of flat oxfords.
- Finally, for those nice spring days, tuck the dress into a pair of baggy old cut-offs and pair with pretty wedge sandals.
